Father’s Day!

Last week we enjoyed getting ready to surprise my dad for Father’s Day on Sunday the 19th of June.

Cookies, coffee and a card!

The little ones helped my mom make chocolate chip cookies for my dad (the cookies were meant to be a surprise but my dad found out!), Kelly made a card and my mom bought a selection of gourmet coffees.  I didn’t know what to do for my dad, so my mom suggested that I make one of my special pictures.  I knew my dad liked the pictures that I had previously made using felt, material, crayons, a fine liner and coloured cardboard, so I made him one on Saturday afternoon.

The picture I made.

Me and my dad.

We made my dad breakfast in bed! It was so much fun preparing the breakfast! We made an omelette with wild mushrooms, cheese and red peppers and on the plate put a garnish with rocket, tomato and parsley. Kelly squeezed lots of oranges by hand for juice, my mom fried some bacon and voila! My dad enjoyed it so much! I can’t wait till next Father’s Day! I love being able to bless other people.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, DADDY!!
I LOVE YOU!!

I really enjoy baking with my little sister Rebekah.
I love inventing games for my little sisters.
I love listening to Britt Nicole and Casting Crowns music.
I enjoy riding horses.
And I love Jesus Christ, and reading his word (the Bible)!

Doll Pyjamas

On Friday my mom wanted to make Rebekah a pair of pyjamas. I was only going to watch, but my mom asked if I would like to make matching pyjamas for her doll? It was so much fun and also much easier than I expected!

Rebekah loves her doll’s new pyjamas!

I will post a picture of Rebekah in her finished pyjamas when my mom is done!!

A Swim and a Tractor Ride

The other day Uncle Donovan took us and two other homeschooling families for a tractor ride and a swim in a dam.

Here are some photos:

The tractor!

The tractor ride was so much fun! It was also very, very bumpy!!

Beth on the tractor!

The beautiful dam we swam in!

Beth and Gabrielle playing in the shallows!

I love taking the little ones for rides on my back.  I mainly take Gabrielle on my back because she is quite light and does not fall off easily.

We could see our house from where we were!

Look at this wonderful view...don’t we live in a beautiful piece of countryside?

We had a lovely time!

How to Make Recycled Tin Vases

We made these recycled vases for my Moms 40th
Birthday bash. We had a desserts evening and used these tin vases as the centrepieces.

What you will need:

Organza Ribbon
Craft Pant
Empty and washed tins
Flowers of your choice
A Paint Brush
Newspaper

First you paint the tins.

You will need to give it about 3 or 4 layers.

When they are dry tie the ribbon around the tins.

Me tying the ribbon!

We decided to put roses in our tins

I'm Back!

Hi everybody!  I’m sorry that I haven’t posted sooner.  We moved three months ago from Kraaibosch ‘Knysna’ to Bethany Farm, in the Langkloof and life has been pretty hectic as we settle.  We are having lots of fun here and I will be posting about the farm and what we are doing soon.  Have a good day!
